Regatta

If you are interested in volunteering for this year's regatta please let us know by signing up with this form.

In accordance with Club tradition, each summer the club hosts a swimming regatta and a boating regatta. Each regatta is separated between junior and senior events and the purpose of these regattas is to foster community and gather in the name of friendly competition. This is a longstanding tradition where winners receive trophies handed down through generations. The team of volunteers who run these regattas is committed to fostering participation and sportsmanship among club members to build community and create memorable events for athletes of all types. Come rain or shine, these events run under the supervision of the executive team and the invaluable effort of regatta volunteers.

The Regatta Rules were last updated during the 2017 Season, and can be found here: 2022 Rule Book. This rule book includes swimming and boating regatta rules (including the 2022 updated tilting rules).

The rules for Tri-Lake were also last negotiated in 2017 and can be found here: Tri Lake Rules. They are the result of discussions between representatives of 16 Island, Lac Marois, Lake Louisa.  Each lake is set up slightly differently in terms of who is responsible for Tri-Lake.  16 Island’s input into this document was conveyed by the VPs Regatta in consultation with the SILFC President and Director of Activities.
