Week 3 - Newsletter and Upcoming Events

happy campers.jpg
This past week started with a very successful workday on Saturday, July 12th. Many pre-teens, teens, and adults spent the day working on a variety of projects around the club. The play structure was taken down and a new one was started (will be completed on Saturday), the windowsills were painted (inside and out), the bleachers were painted, the back deck near the kitchen was jacked up and new garbage cans were placed around the property. In addition, the basketball net was fixed, new turn boards were made and installed, and a new GRANITE countertop was installed in the canteen, as well as a new door. Thanks to the Cresswell clan, many trees were removed and the grounds were cleaned up. Thank you to Brent and Tara who organized the lunch and a very special thank you to the wonderful group of volunteers who came out to help - together we made a big difference!

Water Activity day on Monday was also a success, despite cooler temperatures. Several youth members and their families enjoyed a day at the St. Sauveur Waterpark!

Many kids participated in the swim-a-thon on Thursday afternoon, despite once again, cool temperatures. Teens involved in the lifesaving program all completed 100 laps or more – congratulations to everyone. It isn’t too late to sponsor a youth for this event! Thanks again to all the sponsors and congratulations to all the participants.

Teen Night (13-17yrs) is scheduled for Friday (TONIGHT) evening at 7:30pm and don’t forget about the Classic Boat Show on Saturday starting at 10am, as well as the Weiner Roast, followed by Ski Night, on Saturday starting at 6pm.

The 2015 Lake Calendars are now ready. They will be sold at all club functions or can be picked up at the Love’s cottage (450-226-8062) throughout the summer. Calendars are $15 each.

Hope everyone is enjoying the summer, despite the rain and cooler temperatures we have experienced recently! Let’s all hope for sun, warm and calm waters for the next weeks of summers. Enjoy the weekend and wishing you all a great week!
