Ladies Luncheon, Classic Boat Show, Bi-Lac - What a Week!
July 19th-July 24th The week started off with the Classic Boat Show on Saturday. Geoff Cresswell spent many hours organizing the event and it didn't dissapoint! It was truly a memorable event! More than 20 classic boats were on display at the club from 10am-11:30 am for everyone to look at. Le salon classique nautique fut un gros succès samedi. Geoff Cresswell a travaillé sur cet évènement pendant les deux dernières années, avec l’aide de Ken Moorehouse. Pour que tous les adeptes et curieux puissent appréciés cette exposition, plus de 20 bateaux furent exposés au club de 10h00 à 11h30. La journée de travail au club a été un gros succès grâce aux membres et bénévoles qui ont travaillé toute la journée. Nombreux projets ont été accomplis; la structure de jeu a été remplacée (à compléter samedi), les rebords de toutes les fenêtres ont été peint, les gradins près des quais ont aussi été peint, la terrasse derrière la cuisine fut nivelée et de nouvelles poubelles ont été placées autour du club et près des quais. Week 3 - Newsletter and Upcoming Events
This past week started with a very successful workday on Saturday, July 12th. Many pre-teens, teens, and adults spent the day working on a variety of projects around the club. The play structure was taken down and a new one was started (will be completed on Saturday), the windowsills were painted (inside and out), the bleachers were painted, the back deck near the kitchen was jacked up and new garbage cans were placed around the property. Week 2 - Recap and Look Ahead to Next Week
Despite some cooler temperatures and the occasional rain shower, the club has been buzzing with activity this past week. The social scene kicked off on Saturday night with a wonderful cocktail party. Thank you to the Lorange family who organized a great party! In addition, thank you to everyone who contributed appetizers and snacks throughout the evening.
